Kasboek ("we," "us," or "our") is a personal finance app designed for manual tracking of income, expenses, and savings. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Local-First Data

By default, your data is stored locally on your device. If you do not create an account, your data stays on your device. If you uninstall the app, your local data is removed.

2. Information We Collect

a. Account Information (optional)

If you choose to create an account, we use Firebase Authentication and collect:

• Email address and authentication credentials.

b. Financial Data (optional cloud sync)

If you enable cloud backup, we store your data in Firebase Firestore, which may include:

• Transactions you enter
• Categories and budgeting details
• App settings related to your financial data

c. Usage & Diagnostics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used and improve it. This may include device information, feature usage, and interaction events.

d. Advertising Data

We use Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers and other data for ad delivery and measurement, in accordance with Google’s policies.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide app features and calculations
• To enable optional cloud backup and sync
• To improve the app through analytics
• To show ads and manage ad-free access

4. Export & Import

You can export your data as a JSON backup, and export transactions as a CSV file for spreadsheets. CSV exports are for viewing only and cannot be imported back into the app.

5. Data Deletion

If you have an account, you can request account deletion from within the app. This removes your cloud data. If you only use local storage, uninstalling the app removes your local data.
